Building a House: Part 8 Insulation, Drywall, and Doors

It is not standard to do insulation in interior walls - and we are tired of hearing a gnat fart from across the cabin. So we made sure that we insulated most of the interior walls to help reduce noise. And we did spray foam on all exterior walls to help with heating and cooling insulation. We even insulated the garage and will have an insulated garage door. If it ever needs to be converted to living space, it will be pretty easy!

Here is Justin's walk in shower. It has a linear drain to the wall and will have a large bench seating area. There will be two shower heads (one stationary and one on a wand) and a rain head above.

There are 10 foot ceilings throughout the house and all of the doors are 8 foot.

Here is a glimpse of the trim we chose as well. We kept it simple for our farmhouse style.
