Build It and They Will Climb

Justin and I finally put together this climbing dome for the kids that we've had for a few months. They spent this last week with his parents, so between rainstorms we seized the opportunity to get it built. Now if it ever stops raining, the kids will be able to try it out.

Trip to Port Aransas

We took a day trip to go to the beach on Port Aransas. We didn't take any pictures all day long but everybody had a blast. This was on the ferry ride back to the mainland about 9:00 that evening. None of the kids fell asleep even after spending all day outside.

Sweet Big Brother

Levi just loves Hailey and she loves him back. This morning he was talking and playing with her and reading her books. And singing her his favorite songs. He can be such a sweetheart.

Nap Fight

This beautiful girl fought me all day long and refused to nap. Even after a 2 1/2 hour car ride to Daddy's apartment. Also, she has refused to take a pacifier and prefers her fingers or toes to suck on, much to my chagrin.

Do I look sleepy to you?!?!

And finally, about 4 in the afternoon, she crashed!

My View

This is the view out my living room window. I managed to find a spot on the window not covered in grimy kid hand prints to take this one of the deer coming in to eat. I'm so happy we live out here and not in the city!

What's Up, Lizard Butt?

I put Hailey down for just a minute to get something out of the oven and when I came back to get her, I saw something on her butt! After a second of bug panic, I realized it was a tiny lizard and laughed. After a couple of quick pictures, the lizard was captured and released back outside. Or as Levi says, "To the creature rescue!" then "living free and in the wild!" Unless you watch Wild Kratts on PBS, you will not get those references.
